“Kuro no Ken” (“The Black Sword”) To Be Published by Alban Lake Press

I am thrilled to announce that I just signed a contract with Alban Lake Press earlier today for the sale of my story Kuro no Ken.

“Kuro no ken,” by the way, is Japanese for “The Black Sword” or, if you prefer alliteration, you could say it’s “The Black Blade.”

This tale is the second story in my Age of Asmodeus series. For details of the first story, click here. Don’t worry, though, you don’t need to read them in any particular order to understand what’s going on. They’re designed to be standalone experiences.

Kuro no Ken will be released in Alban Lake’s April issue of Outposts of Beyond. I’ll post more details once the issue is published.

Readers of “Outposts” should also look out for The Library of Ice, my action-packed sci-fi story set on Ceres, which will be released in the upcoming January issue.

2018 is shaping up to be a year with lots of my stories being released – brace yourselves for more blog posts as various anthologies, magazines, and comics are published!

Thanks for reading, and a very Merry Christmas to everyone.

And, in the spirit of this latest short story: 明けましておめでとうございます!

That’s “Happy New Year” to all you non-Japanese-speakers out there. 🙂
